Announcement on Business Partnership with Barokes

Daiwa Can Company entered into a business partnership with Barokes Pty Ltd. on September 13, 2012 by purchasing shares of the Australian wine producer.

Barokes is a global wine producer exporting to over 30 international markets and is internationally recognized as a leader in the field of canned wine technology.

Daiwa has been selling an aluminum bottle can for wine since 2008 and now intends to globally launch its “Slim Wine Bottle Can” characterized by a shape suggestive of glass bottle of wine.

This partnership was brought about by a common objective shared by the two companies, both of which strive to expand sales of canned wine. We will carry out the strategic development and introduce products by leveraging the advantages of each.
