Slim Wine Bottle Can on the Rise across Japan

Growing numbers of Japanese wine manufacturers are choosing to use the award-winning and innovative Slim Wine Bottle Can developed by Daiwa Can.

The Slim Wine Bottle Can, a winner in November 2011 of the Bronze medal in the Bottles category and Delegates’ Choice at Can of the Year 2011, is enjoying widespread praise for its design and functionality.

Daiwa Can developed the Slim Wine Bottle Can as a 100% aluminum bottle-shaped can to make wine more accessible for casual enjoyment, easier to hold and maintaining a form* befitting the image of wine. The can has been developed to also satisfy a large number of exacting conditions, including being a reasonably priced single-serving size allowing stand-out retail display and using a screw cap with an all-aluminum composition enabling simple disposal and recycling. (*A survey of Japanese wine lovers appraised this product as having the “form most suited to wine.”)

Daiwa Can is currently promoting the Slim Wine Bottle Can among wine manufacturers. The metal container is attractive for being unbreakable and comparatively lighter than traditional glass bottles, realizing its concept of making wine more accessible and convenient.
