Mini Bottle Can won the Bronze award, Bottle Can section of the "Can of the year 2005" held in Barcelona, Spain in September 2005. It is a 100ml tiny beverage container, all aluminum; it is as light as 50% of a glass bottle of a comparable capacity (including contents) and presents no worries of breakage that is indispensable with glass bottles.

Uninterrupted decoration around a body wall and an integrated label design to cover the body wall and a cap are possible with Mini Bottle Can. In the market of value-added functional drinks that was previously dominated by glass bottles, a number of major players have started introducing their products in Mini Bottle Can.

This is the third time Daiwa Can won "Can of the Year" awards: The previous awards include Grand Prix in 2000 for New Bottle Can and another Grand Prix in 2003 for Spiral Bead Can.
